Support Worker Tunbridge wells

 A vacancy for a Support Worker in Tunbridge Wells, Kent is now available. The successful clinical support worker will work as a part of a multidisciplinary team, providing innovative, direct care and treatment with the aim to avoid unnecessary hospital admission . As a support worker, employed via Meditemp you’ll be required to work across both Medium and Low secure units providing mental health nursing to children and young adults.

Our client is offering flexible weekly shifts, both days and nights, with the possibility of block bookings.

This role is immediate start, post compliance completion.

Clinical Support Worker essential skills:

  • The ability to observe, assess and respond appropriately to patient needs
  • Experience with children and young adults
  • Prepare and maintain patient records
  • Implement evidence-based care plans and risk assessments
  • Ensure the correct administration and monitoring of medication
  • Comply with your professional code of conduct at all times
  • The ability to build and maintain professional and therapeutic relationships with patients and their families
  • To keep calm under pressure and when dealing with challenging or confrontational behaviour;
  • Good organisation and problem-solving skills
  • Manage and communicate sensitive information effectively
  • Effective team work skills

Meditemp requires you to have:

  • A minimum of 6 months recent experience as a hospital based mental health support worker
  • Fully vaccinated against Covid-19 and provide evidence of vaccinations
  • Occupational Health in line with the dept. of health
  • Successful disclosure at an appropriate level from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)
  • Eligibility to work within the UK
  • Physical Restraint training
