Registered Mental Health Nurse - Nottingham

A vacancy for a Band 6 Registered Mental Health Nurse in Sherwood, Nottingham is now available. The successful registered mental health nurse will exercise clinical expertise and decision making, whilst working as a CAMHS crisis practitioner / registered mental health nurse. You will provide comprehensive, specialist assessments, using well developed skills to young people, under the age of 18, in mental health crisis. As an RMN working via Meditemp you’ll will be responsible for providing and receiving highly complex, sensitive, distressing and emotional information in relation to health issues. You will be expected to represent the CAMHS service as a highly specialised practitioner within community CAMHS settings and patient’s homes.

 

Our client is offering fixed shifts, with the possibility of block bookings.

This role is immediate start, post recruitment.

  • Plan, deliver and evaluate care to address people’s complex health and wellbeing needs.
  • Current knowledge and understanding of young people’s mental health needs and an ability to demonstrate clinical competence
  • A commitment to continuous learning to improve patient outcomes
  • To be responsible for a devolved leadership role
  • Ability to analyse and present complex information to professional colleagues

 

Registered Mental Health Nurse essential skills:

  • The ability to observe, assess and respond appropriately to patient needs
  • Extensive mental health experience post qualification
  • Implement evidence-based care plans and risk assessments
  • Ensure the correct administration and monitoring of medication
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership skills and qualities.
  • The ability to build and maintain professional and therapeutic relationships with patients and their families.
  • The candidate must have their own transport for this role. Mileage paid at 24p per mile.
  • Experience of working independently within CAMHS or acute mental health care.
  • Good organisation and caseload management
  • Manage and communicate sensitive information effectively

  • A minimum of 6 months recent experience as a hospital based registered mental health nurse
  • NMC registration
  • Occupational Health in line with the dept. of health
  • Eligibility to work within the UK
  • Physical Restraint training (GSA Approved)
