Community Psychiatric Nurse - Nottingham

A vacancy for a Band 6 community psychiatric nurse in Bulwell, Nottingham is now available. The successful community psychiatric nurse will provide mental health assessments to clients, aged 18 and over, with severe mental health problems and support clients within a variety of settings, including the client’s home. As a CPN working via Meditemp you’ll will be required to work as a senior, qualified professional who will participate in the delivery of effective clinical services, while working collaboratively and in partnership with other statutory, non-statutory and voluntary teams.

Our client is offering fixed daily shifts, for 6 weeks, with the possibility of block bookings thereafter.

This role is immediate start, post recruitment.

Community Psychiatric Nurse essential skills:

  • The ability to observe, assess and respond appropriately to patient needs
  • Extensive mental health experience post qualification
  • Implement evidence-based care plans and risk assessments
  • Ensure the correct administration and monitoring of medication
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership skills and qualities.
  • The ability to build and maintain professional and therapeutic relationships with patients and their families
  • Knowledge and experience of clinical and management supervision.
  • Good organisation and problem-solving skills
  • Manage and communicate sensitive information effectively
  • Effective team work skills

  • A minimum of 6 months recent experience as a hospital based registered mental health nurse
  • NMC registration
  • Occupational Health in line with the dept. of health
  • Eligibility to work within the UK
  • Physical Restraint training (GSA Approved)
