CAMHS Senior Liaison Practitioner London

Meditemp are currently recruiting for a CAMHS Senior Liaison Practitioner, which is suitable for Registered Nurses and Allied Professionals. The primary function of this role is to work as a highly experienced mental health practitioner carrying out first line specialist assessments and crisis risk management plans within the Emergency Department (ED) as part of the Mental Health Liaison Team (MHLT).


The successful candidate will actively identify and triage patients presenting to the Emergency Department with emergency or urgent need for management of mental health, psychological and substance misuse problems, including those who have deliberately self-harmed.


Registered Mental Health Nurse essential skills:

  • The ability to observe, assess and respond appropriately to patient needs
  • Prepare and maintain patient records
  • Implement evidence-based care plans and risk assessments
  • Ensure the correct administration and monitoring of medication
  • Comply with your professional code of conduct at all times
  • The ability to build and maintain professional and therapeutic relationships with patients and their families
  • To keep calm under pressure and when dealing with challenging or confrontational behaviour;
  • Good organisation and problem-solving skills
  • Manage and communicate sensitive information effectively
  • Effective team work skills
